Mount Emei is one of the Four Sacred Buddhist Mountains of China. It is located in Sichuan province in southwestern China and is the country’s westernmost Buddhist Mountain and is traditionally regarded as the Bodhi Manda or place of enlightenment.

 

 

 

 

 

 

It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1996.
